Well, as much as I pissed on a lot of 'all things Paris'... I honestly believe that it is a MUST SEE for anyone. No, it's not the same Paris that I was used to visiting, but the world changes everywhere.

FINALLY.....!!!

@ 49 seconds in..... BUTT Stuff

I got your butt stuff, right here. Front butt, though.

This is an important work of art hanging in the d'Orsay. It's by Gustave Courbet, and it's titled, "The Origin of the World”.

The story behind it, and its importance in the lineage of art, is beyond scope (I guess I could go all @Roberteaux, but I'm pretty exhausted playing filmmaker, these days).

Suffice to say, it was an adventure with our Tranny guide, who handled this with impeccable taste and humor. One does have to see the humor in it all, yes? :laugh2:

Since, it's risqué.... I'll put it in a spoiler.

That’s sad, they shuffle muthafuckers in there like a fucking buffet

Man I want to just live in a quiet place with a small population of nice folks, good food, and close to a trout stream

All this world crazy shit is for the birds, too many people

I really need to finish up the videos... the one from the Louvre is 3rd, or 4th in line.

But, I will say this... the Louvre is a horrible place to visit. The overcrowding is insane. Philistines taking selfies is out of fucking control. Tbe lines for the bathrooms are 10-20 deep.

This article is spot on. I witnessed all of it. I would never, ever return.

Yes, Virginia. It is *that* bad!!!

We were there May 8th - the day after Paris Saint-Germain defeated Arsenal 2-1 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final match - and our guide kept remarking how empty the place was. The fact that the entire city was up getting hammered until 4AM the night before might have had something to do with it.

I thought there were still more than enough people. A "normal" day must be hell.

We did a small European tour in 2017 that included London, Paris, Loire Valley, Strasbourg, Munich and Amsterdam.

Paris was amazing. It will be a regular stop any time we go back to Europe. It was mind numbing to think about walking in the same footsteps as so many people have walked over two thousand years.

They closed the Louvre yesterday.

Too many tourists.

Or too much floor poop.

Not quite sure which.
