I just can't keep adding to my collections, and have nothing I want to sell. I have lots of GAS, but I am resisting.
I completely understand that.

And I have a very real problem concerning storage. I have room for one more guitar case, and then my rack is FULL.

And in our tiny little house, storage is everything. My wife is already an expert at stacking and arranging and organizing, but we are bursting at the seams.

After buying that Bassman head, I have a 2x12 cabinet in the living room, and my Boogie Fillmore head under my desk.

And like @Uncle Vinnie, the purchase of anything big requires a dispensation.
She has a list, and she’s checking it twice.

I’ve never seen that!
Tell us more?
Rivolta is a brand by Dennis Fano, made in Korea to a very high quality. Killer designs IMO and this guitar is beautifully made. 28" scale length, has the option to coil split the bridge humbucker as well as flip the phase. Very versatile and plays extremely well. Very happy camper over here!

Not liking my choices for a new Fender neck. For less than $700 I can build something cool through Warmoth.

Vintage Modern, flamey Maple.
Ebony board, MOP inlays, TUSQ nut.
9.5” radius
Medium jumbo stainless frets

Like I said, it’s just a thought exercise.
I’d have over $2,000 in it by the time I buy another hard case to keep it in.

Still, building this is cheaper than anything on my wish list.

Fender Electric XII Stratocaster
Hollowbody Gretsch
ES-175
Korina ‘58-style Flying V
Another Rickenbacker 381-V69
Another EDS-1275 (Why? I dunno…)

You get the idea …

What’s next on the short list of guitars you would like to get?

Buying or building.
Anything you’ve been mulling over?

I'd like to have Dave build me a guitar......

But.....

Brenda's company liquidated late last year, so she's on a small severance right now and we're gonna have to buy our own medical insurance.......at the end of the year.

And.....I'm up to eyeballs in senior care.....my dad(stroke), Brenda's mom(parkinsens) my granny(99 years), and losing my mom 18 months back(cancer complications) ......so my shop hasn't exactly killed it the last 18-24 months.....

Maybe next year things will be better.....:dunno:

I don't really want to build one but I may have to. Either that or find a strat I like how it plays and sound, and have the body painted transparent orange over gold metallic. Has to have 6 screw bridge, steel block, 21 frets, 9.5 radius, 6105 wire, grey bottom 70s style single coils, bullet truss rod nut and I'm fine with either 3 bolt or 4 bolt neck mounting screws. Dark dark dark ... did I mention dark? ... rosewood fingerboard. Don't have to be Braz but nice if it can. And weighs in the low 7s. Parchment pick guard, cream covers and knobs and switchtip. A sunburst with all those features would work.

In search of a certain Telecaster , yea I know , I’m a diehard Les Paul fanatic , I eat steak all the time , but I like pizza too !!
Looking forward to a rosewood neck with a dark green or dark blue finish . You know guitar players , we are funny that way .. gotta be that or it’s not going to happen

I hope so for you Zungle...hang in there man.

I've been through a series of family health and $ issues this year. Fortunately, no health things for me,...so far.

That thing of the kids coming back home...need support. Prime Directive today.

No gas issues...just mild interests, that are totally optional.

Nothing on my radar Leee...really. ( weeeelll...i have lots of choices already...my biggest challenge is playing time...one day...)
I let a rare used Fulltone wah pass by me.(i have 2 already). Would have been nice to incorporate one in my third board setup (needs one, lol). A little man in the back of my head said no, don't do used wah. I saw it had been serviced, which just generated questions.
Better to go new with wah, my experience says...will strike one day.

When I did my P-Bass build earlier this year, I was going to have Warmoth do the neck.

I ended up detouring and asking Dave to build it for me instead. I couldn’t be happier.

Out of the box it was much more “bolt-and-play” ready than any of the necks I’ve gotten through Warmoth.

I don’t mean this to sound like a slag on Warmoth - I have a strat and a 24.75” conversion tele neck from them and both are great! I’m sure they would’ve done a great bass neck too.

But what I have now feels like it was truly custom made for that bass and the playability and feel is awesome. :thumb:

I try to keep all my guitars hanging, ready to play. There are 16 of those. But I have 4 that are in their cases now. And those cases are not easy to get to, so they are rarely, almost never, played. (One is a travel only guitar.) I have no where else to hang a guitar. Buying would mean selling, or choosing to put a current one in its case, stored away. Not ideal.

I've only found one Gretsch that I enjoy playing. That has a neck I really like. I've wanted to own a Gretsch for a long time, but haven't done it, and don't plan to, even though I look often and Reverb shows me everyone that comes up for sale.

It only comes in gold sparkle and silver sparkle.

There's a short list of what's next IF I ever buy another guitar: Vigier Shawn Lane, or maybe a PRS or Knaggs.

This thread has lit a fire up my butt. I've had a Warmoth project sitting in my closet for the last few years. It's time to fricking finish it.

Swamp ash body w/original Kahler from a guitar I built for my brother. Baseball bat maple/rswd w/locking nut prep ordered new years ago and never mounted.

The trouble with Warmoth is they don't finish well. Fretwork is non-existent and fret install is sloppy.

Real hand-manglers. -and no nitro.

I've had a number of Warmoth necks sent to me to get finished, frets leveled and dressed proper.

They are not "ready to play" in my experience.

It would be nice to have a Les Paul Custom. The features and prices of the new Epiphone IBGC models are sure tempting compared to Gibson, but the fret edges always seem to scare me away. The local store that sells Epis has a great setup guy, and maybe he could make it right as part of the deal.
