Daughter has bought plane tickets, reserved a car at St.L, M, and booked a room at iconic motels along Rt66... Flying to St.L. and driving to Phoenix area....

GDaughter just grad'd HS and is going to college in fall so my daughter dreamed up a trip for the two of em on Rt66... They'll stay in some of those neon motels shown on tv... Do a bit of sightseeing and drive on.... Cool trip for the two of em... Drive to Phoenix area and fly back to ATL.... I think it's pretty cool and will be a great memory for my gdau.... She starts at U of N Ga in fall... Hallmark movie town.... Beautiful area for sight seeing... They love that stuff...

Happy for em to take that trip. Me, I have to have a legitimate and important reason for a bunch of driving.. Wife asked me if I wanted to go see some place... I told her, 'it looks identical to all the pictures of it'.... She won't go where I want to go and won't let me go because she's afraid I won't come back out... I wanted to go primitive in the foothills of the Smokies for a few days some years back to get my mind right. "Hell no. You'll never come back home." She had a point...

On the subject of iced tea, the tea used in some restaurants to brew tea, they may as well use generic instant tea.... Pretty sad tea for brewed.... There must be some really shit tea trees out there...

Some places, their brewed tea is off the chain good. Got that deep rich whang to it and a color that reminds me of fishing in a shallows part of a lake with cypress trees where tannin has turned the water that deep reddish copper color... THAT's good tea...

Just like coffee, there are teas all over the map in quality....

On another note, I was in an asian buffet restaurant a while back... Killer food. Ordered coffee with my meal. The actually brought me Sanka and didn't think I'd notice.... I would have never believed a food place known for great food would serve a customer instant coffee... Hot tea there is great...

My granny loved Sanka for some damn reason... All she wanted to drink as far as coffee... Then again she liked Diet Rite Cola, Tab, and saccharine tea which is the epitome of the worst tasting shit you can drink. That shit makes colonoscopy prep and used motor oil look more appealing.... lockjaw shit right there...

Since the weather still isn't playing ball, I'm giving the Studio a bit of a spruce up. Check the strap pin screws, selector switch nut and output jack, fret polish, board oil, coat of Renaissance wax on the body, fresh strings.

It's a riskier operation these days. The BP pills do a fantastic job of keeping the numbers in order, but if I got stuck by a string-end I'd probably bleed out before the medics arrive.

Imagine the confusion that would create. "Cause of death: that damned high E string".

Oatman is a funky little mining town south and west of Kingman.
It’s in a mountain pass just before the drop begins down to the Colorado River.

Might be further west than they intended to go.

Starting on computers, I discovered I wanted a second e-mail account for junk.
One I didn't care if it got bombarded with SPAM.

Wanted the most generic American name I could think of.
Came up with 'Dave Reynolds.'

So it was 'davreyno' at Yahoo! .com, rather than something Yahoo! picked for me, like DaveReynolds20053.

Grape is my favorite word, if you had a favorite word to pick.
The look... the sound.... the association with delicious fruit and candy...

I remember a cream dé mint event; but it was soda-pop-wine; Boone's or something.

Laying on back on the grass; falling off the face of the Earth.

The tile guy and drywall guys knocked it out of the park. Now what to do next. Put more $$$ in, or maybe just try to sell like it is. I'm chillin on it a bit, to think about my next move. Aaaannnnddd to see what the insurance does with these bills.

Just tile in the dining room.

The kitchen was down to the studs. I removed the drop ceiling. Missed a drain vent pipe and an electrical wire. The drywall guys moved both at a reasonable price. Textured the ceiling, but figure the walls are gonna be cabinets.

Whew! What a thing. Gonna rest up a bit before charging onward.

I did this too, except I got my own domain.
When I setup my email accounts I did one as "info@domain" just for junk.

Makes life easy.
