I always laughed at this question. "I was able to live on my own without ****ing working. Do you have a problem with that?"
I retired (the first time) when I was 32. A few years later, I went back to work (I was bored and there was no one my age who didn't have to work so, it was lonely). I was interviewing to be a partner at an investment bank. The guy asked me about the gap in my resume. I said something to the effect of "I was ****ing retired. You know that means not working, right?"
