Sinners is really good, and has some really good music.

Bit of a rip off of From Dusk till Dawn, but I'm ok with that seeing as it's a very well done rip off. And it has a lot of Delta Blues and deep South vibes goin' on

I don’t celebrate normal people losing their jobs, usually.
If they just fired the bullshit DEI department, that’s cool.
But if revenue is down because KK had to keep putting a chick in it and making her lame and gay, and these poor no-names are hung out to dry because of it, that kinda sucks.

I've been thinking a holler in W.VA sounds nice.

I really want out of the city.
Is it affordable? Forget "cheap" these days
Is there a town near enough for supplies and emergency stuff?
Can you get work there?

If so, it's all good. Going feral way back in the holler sounds good, until you factor in the things you NEED just to not ... starve or die from something.

Off to see Ballerina in a bit.

For those who don't know, that's the John Wick spinoff with Ana De Armas in it.

As long as it does cool action and violence like the main Wick films I'm happy.

Then 28 Years Later in a couple of weeks, which I'm looking forward to.

My last cinema trip - the Doctor Who finale last week, left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I did genuinely like what was going on for most of this latest season, but you can tell there was a last-minute pivot. I don't believe the comments made by Ncuti Gatwa on the behind the scenes stuff that this was always the plan for him to only do two short seasons (8 instead of 12 episodes), when he was talking last year about a 3rd season and wanting to do a Dalek episode.

He did neither, and "The Reality War" ends with him giving his life to put the universe right after the all the meddling, and regenerating into... Billie Piper.

Piper was the companion Rose Tyler in seasons 1 and 2 back in 2005/6, alongside Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I like her and she's a big part of the early success of the revived show.

Now? We've already had David Tennant return, now Billie is back, may or may not be the 16th Doctor, and we don't even know if there will be another season soon, because fuck Disney. Them taking forever is probably why Ncuti left and we got that reshot ending.

Shit feels bleak, I might resume my 70s John Pertwee/3rd Doctor marathon. A simpler time.

Seems it's never the overpaid suit who makes these decisions, that gets sacked, is it.

Why are people always acting shocked that Disney ultimately find a way to ruin everything they touch?

Of course they'd make a shit streaming service.
