Went to 2 different Guitar Centers and 1 private shop to trade 2 MIM Strats for some kind of Les Paul. Been playing as a hobby only at home since I was 15, and have owned and sold about 30 guitars since. I have realized after playing for 40 years that Strats just hurt my hand on the trem screws based on my hand placement. Love Strats, have owned and sold probably 20 of them. but, done with them! So I stumbled upon this at GC Clearwater, FL. They gave me a great trade price for my MIM's and I came home with this! 2023 Gibson LP Studio in Smokehouse burst! In basically brand new condition! I love everything about it!! The fretwork is phenomenal! one of the Strats I traded was a 2024 Players 2 that had the supposed rolled edge frets. It felt like a rail road compared to this!! I think that I found my Holy Grail guitar for me, IMHO!

I think my wife may have other opinions about that.
But, it looks like a real beauty. Play the hell out of her, she'll love you right back.

Those are nice Studios.

It's obviously too late but it never occurred to you to file down the saddle screws on any of your Strats ?

Congratulations! That's a great guitar and a good example of the way in which self-control and some effort can uncover something great and far better than just fulfilling an impulse ASAP. Studios are pretty brilliant builds and deliver all the playability and sound of the Standards with none of the non-essential decorative stuff. IMO, Les Paul bindings are a disgrace for such expensive guitars. Gibson's flesh-colored "creme" is a pretty putrid version of ivory or, well, cream, and one thin band of it looks lousy, however traditional it may be. OTOH, radiused unbound edges make all kinds of sense both functionally and visually. Nibbed neck binding? I would rather have a better, faster neck shape than a 19th century adornment. IMO, you came up with a really terrific guitar that speaks for itself. Nice job!

You can buy saddle adjustment screws in various heights from aftermarket vendors - amazon lists several. Got to get the right ones though because they come in different thread pitches - metric and imperial as well. Solo Guitars (Canada) also stocks them - google Fender saddle screws - lots of options.

^^ This

That's a beautiful Les Paul, but don't let saddle screws keep you from getting another Strat one day. You can put in shorter screws or use the old American Standard style sintered block saddles, which are probably the most comfortable bridge design ever.
