Is there an option to change the raised section just on the right side? I see your main concern in that the bottom/tailpiece of that raised section won't be symmetrical. But, if you could recut just the right side at an angle that evens out the bottom of that "vee", it would look intentional.

I thought about that too. My concern was more the pickups and bridge being misaligned from the top seam. Not a huge deal, but I'd like it to look right. I'm working on sanding the heel like @LPTDMSV suggested. hopefully i can align it better.

I spent yesterday finenessing the neck tenon into the correct straight angle and realigning the cheeks as best as i could. Then i cut a thin slice of mahogany to use as a wedge in the neck pocket. I put a piece of sandpaper and a few strips of tape underneath the slice to create an angle at one end as i ran it through the drum sander.

If you look close you can see the taper.

After gluing in the wedge on the bass side of the tenon it aligned pretty well. It's not dead nuts perfect, but almost!

You can hardly see it there on the left side. On top of that it will be covered by the fretboard. Now i can carry on with the build!

Very cool, especially the body.

Have you considered using the 'floating bridge' design of the Jaguar, Mustang and Jazzmaster, to compliment the vibrato?

I have a Göldo dg shorty trem on the way. I'm going to put a Schaller roller bridge on it.

Routed out the pickup cavities tonight. I routed for a p90 in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge. These are Lollar pickups that are going in this. It's a standard p90 and a Novel Broiler in the bridge. The Broiler is a humbucker singlecoil. It has a rickenbacker type sound, and should pair pretty well with the p90.

Drilled and put the side dots in. Found some red side dot material. I dig it!

Made the back cover plate out of brw. I used magnets to secure it instead of screws. I like doing it this way because it makes it easier to take it off if need be. Also you don't have to worry about dropping little screws on the floor.
