Happy Saturday Y’all!

After coffee I’ll do a little house cleaning.
I am BTW, the PLO around here.
Permanent Latrine Orderly!

Outside is hot and humid already.

AND, the F’king love bugs are out and everywhere! Those bastids will ruin a car’s paint in no time!

Well the mostly sunny day turned partly cloudy, then mostly cloudy, and now severe storms for this afternoon and tomorrow.

Gotta love May weather.

Be a good day to get over to mom's and finish removing the dropped ceiling from her kitchen. Make good use of that roll off while it is there.

Been wanting a good reason to get me a DEWALT reciprocating saw. Grabbed this brushless. Should make quick work of pulling those 2x4s down. I'm getting a pretty good collection of these tools now.

Dang! I just bought this 3 days ago, and noticed while grabbing that image, that it is $8 cheaper today. :laugh2:

This is the drop ceiling I'm pulling down. Way back in the 80s when this place was built they had those recessed lights. Since then ,they'd got rid of the hidden lights, covered it with sheetrock, and put in those can lights. Pulling all that out will dramatically raise the ceiling and make room for taller cabinets. I think there will still be plenty of room for the canned lights.

All that tile is gone now. The new tile gets here next week. I'm worried my previous drywall guy had some kind of medical incident (he was not in the best of health). But I can't get any word from him or his answering service. Good news, the guy that did my pool tile, does dry wall and working me up a quote. He seems very good, so I am hoping for the best.

This old bird walks this dog daily.
Dotes on him; dog has a University of Michigan sweater he wears in the fall.

Dog gittin' old, you can tell they's buddies.

It might have hit double digits this morning when the sun came out for an hour, but we're at a dreary drizzly 8 degrees.
Bright side....just got back from a great feed at the pub celebrating Margo's 60th with all the girls. She's the happy looking one. :laugh2:

Now you can go with the LED puck lights.
All you need above the drywall is room for the power supply. You can mount them where you need them to be... not just where the joists allow. The lights are as thin as the drywall, so they can actually be mounted under a joist.

These lights are "da bomb".... super easy installation - anywhere. And, you can adjust the temperature to match your needs.

Cans????? Never again.
