I recently did some trading and landed this superb ultra heavy aged ‘59 RI. Kindred Burst variety.

This particular guitar was made on almost the last day in 2020. Big neck, twangy & woody sound.

Nice wide tiger flame on this top with a lot of movement and depth. The red in the sunburst comes and goes depending on how much natural light you have (see below).

I am a horrible photographer but here are the requisite pics..

wow, that's some serious mojo right there....congrats

This is (I swear) the best modern guitar I’ve ever owned. It gives my ‘56 GT a reason to be nervous ;)

Hell yeah!

When you say big neck, how big are we talking?

What does neck measure at first fret? .88? .90?

I’ll have to measure it, haven’t yet. It has a bit less shoulder and a bit more chonk in the back. Feels a bit bigger than any other ‘59 neck I have played the past few years.

That's the one mate. I'm aiming for one of those as my next LP but jeez the ML prices in Australia are a joke.

I got this one 2nd hand - the Kindred Burst is definitely less common and is often seen in an ultra heavy aged configuration but as stated above they do make them in VOS sometimes.

Another pic in very bright direct sunlight…

If this was the 80’s I’d say it’s absolutely RAD.
