FINALLY bought an LP I will keep. It is a Les Paul Modern Lite. This guitar sounds and feels good to play. I've had a few LPs over the years but just ended up trading or selling because of the comfort factor. I build my own guitars but buy the ones that are READY to play out of the box or off the store wall. No changes for this one other than locking tuners and may shave off a forearm rest. Gibson hit the nail square on the head with this model and it is PERFECT for all us SISSIES that are just tired of carrying the weight and torturing ourselves with the sharp edges and no ergonomics. I tried to like a few Gibson SGs but they are just too neck heavy for me and the fretboard seems shifted away from my reach. That is why one of my builds is a cross between a Les Paul and a Fender Tele. It is also compact and the fretboard actually sits about 3/4" closer to the center of my torso when playing. Here's a pic of that compact guitar that can also be changed out to a headless neck when I feel like it.

I grabbed this model image of the Les Paul Modern Lite off the net. The tone and playability of this guitar along with the very much appreciated skinny and lightweight body really does KICK ASS!
