My goal for the next few days is to get everything I own and want to keep, into the Ubox storage units in my driveway or in one of those two suitcases.

I plan on boxing my three guitars that are in cases, but should I put them in the car to ride there? Or should I put them in the U-box to ride there? Each of which I'll get as soon as they arrive in Florida.

Always good to get them things taken care of ASAP. While they're precancerous, and that way they'll stay that way and probably not even return.

Watching to see how your estate sale goes. I wasn't going to do it for mom's. If you have any luck with it, I might reconsider.

Right now trying to find a new contractor to do the kitchen work. The guy I was using was in pretty bad health, and is now not returning any calls. Worried about him. Hoping the best for him. But I still need to get the work done. So I got the word out and a few leads.

we had good luck with sherri at the condo estate sale. she takes 40%, no up front money. everyone that works for her is family. she is great, there was hardly much there and my bro and i split 1800 between us.

you get paid for them to empty the place for you, is how i see it.

i just got my rolling tool box in the can, boo yah, used a floor jack to get the rear tires in and was able to lift the end enough to roll her in and lock the wheels. i'll feel that later.

Damn! They want $2500 up front money and 40% here. I'm not sure I could get $2500 out of everything (super nice stuff, but that don't matter). I'd end up owing money. Which is what I'd heard and why I didn't want to do it.

we had one tell us that too, find another one. fb and nextdoor.com are probably good places to ask about them.

If it’s at all possible, I certainly would.

that's what I am thinking. it could get warm in the car just like the can, but it's probably safer.

vibro champ can lay on the passenger side floor.

Wait, did I miss something?
Is the car getting hauled as well?
Or are you driving it?

Sitting in the sun, the car will get significantly hotter than the moving box because of the glass.

But if you are driving it, you will have more control over that at brief stops.
Leave the windows cracked a half inch when you go in to eat someplace.

If it’s cloudy or raining, don’t worry about it. It won’t get that hot.

Will the car transport people have a key to your car? If so I’d say no.

You can always wrap the boxes guitars in blankets and position them in the center of a U-Box. Be safe and locked up. Plus they store them if required, in climate controlled areas.

THIS x 100.

I didn’t realize your car is being shipped.

Yes, especially if they are in discreet boxes, get them as far into the storage box (and away from the door) as possible.

It WORKS!

Thieves who broke into my storage unit 10 years ago didn’t get very far.
They didn’t have time, and/or didn’t want to do the work.

thanks, center of the box it is. wasn't sure on that one, could always just ship them but would rather not.

back is pretty toast right now. the basement is one TV from being estate sale ready.

kitchen is 1/2 way there, man, she fucking stocked up on so much carbs and cooking stuff, and never cooked. why i ever got her the kitchenaid mixer i will never know, never used it once and that thing was bad ass. that, she left with, probably to sell it.

it's beer thirty, i need a break on the patio.

that's a sad nope, poor bastard.

Oh no, Dirty Mike and the boys had a party in them. You might want to get new boxes

I used that line on an older woman after her stolen car had been returned. I left out the orgy stuff, but I did mention them calling it a soup kitchen.

So, you're going from freezing cold winters to melt your face off summers. Interesting.
