I wonder what the average percentage of criminals are in any given city. There has to be stats on that somewhere

Our guy is named Mike Chitwood. I've known him personally since he was chief of Daytona PD. Prior to that, he retired from Philadelphia PD as a captain. Finally he ran for sheriff and got in on a landslide because he was such an uncommonly innovative police chief for Daytona-- the best I've ever seen.

Media-wise, he keeps a lower profile than Sheriff Judd. But one time I was on Youtube and found him greeting two assholes who were discussing assassinating him and murdering his family on 4chan. Chitwood was right there to meet and greet their stupid asses as the extraditing deputies brought 'em into baggage claim.

Both of 'em are suckin' wind in FSP now.

Another time he got into some kind of weird shit where he ended up cropping a gun on some dork road-rage guy out on I-4. He got backup, but that was after that fact. That is, he already had that guy in custody by the time the first backup unit could arrive.

Very unusual, though his predecessor, Sheriff Ben Johnson, once spotted a dope deal in progress while off-duty and out of uniform and made the pinch himself.

I tend to watch Sheriff Grady Judd's presentations almost as if he was a stand-up comedian-- some of his comments are just so priceless!

Yah...we love his sense of humor. When a perp shot and killed a policeman and his police dog and the perp was located in a wooded area and didnt want to surrender 88 bullet holes were counted in his corpse afterwards.when asked about the 88 bullet holes he replied."well,we ran out of bullets, and with all the jumping and jerking around he was hard to hit".
