Ironically I am in the process of moving back to the Chicagoland. The winters kill off bugs before they can get freakishly large.

Also miss the great food options (and family). The best pizza where I am at now is basically the worst pizza in Chicago.

so i had my brother's best friend's daughter, aka my real estate agent, pull the comps as best she could find. hafta add the heated kitchen floor and home battery as none of them have that, and see the condition of the windows and siding but.... i gotta figure out an asking price soon.

i did some math on how much i really have in this place, it's not as bad as i had imagined. thank goodness.

Try to find one with a higher pitched roof, so you’ll have some useful attic space.

And by all means avoid the “Florida flat tops” !
bro, i'm sizing down, i just emptied my crawl and garage attic.

i do not want or need attic space, that's the goal here 100%.

and i would never buy a flat top, ever.

Winters are not what they used to be in northern Illinois, thanks to climate change. Florida in August doesn't sound like paradise to me.

Yeah August in Florida. How many months of bad weather in Chicago? It was 95 yesterday and stormy, 85 today and then....

Ahhh, Springtime in Chicago.

Whoa! Sorry to hear that. Hope the surgery goes well and everything after. I wish you the best on the sale and move, but definitely moreso on the surgery etc. Wow, that's a lot to handle all at once there.

OK, glad to hear it's not more serious. Not that it's fun, but sounded like it could've been worse.
Just make sure to post some rants and raves in the days following. 'Roid rage. :laugh2:
