Played a wedding gig recently wearing a full kilt — with my Les Paul strapped on. Got more comments about the outfit than my tone!
Anyone else rocked a kilt (or bold stage wear) while playing? Would love to see pics or hear stories. Style meets sustain!

I have! No pics, but like the OP, the kilt got more attention than the guitar or the playing.

Are you literally from Scotland?
Are you about to play bagpipes in a parade?
Are you going commando underneath with the sole intention of traumatizing innocent people by flashing your junk at them?

Unless you answered yes to one of these questions, put some normal clothes on and stop pretending you're the f'ing Highlander. Thank you.

P.S. being a fun-loving alcoholic is still not an acceptable rationale for wearing a kilt.

I haven't gigged for a bit, but I do regularly wear kilts. If I find a new band, I will definitely gig in the kilt, especially in summer - the cooling effect of wearing cargo shorts, without the stigma.
