There’s been a lot of rain up north. But damn that’s a lot.

The Waymo self driving taxis are all over Austin. They get in and out of the bus lanes pretty quick while pickin up and dropping off. Faster than cars driven by people, who set in the bus lanes a seemingly long time. I set on the hotel balcony watching all this for a bit each evening. Residents in Santa Monica are pissed.
The cars beep like construction trucks when backing into their charging stalls, and apparently there is some kind of bell that sounds like a fire alarm.
People are freaking out it's going on all night, city/police say they can't do anything, complain to the California Public Utilities Commission.
Residents are claiming auditory hallucinations, where they are hearing the beeping and bell when they are nowhere near the charging lots.

Still wet and chilly, but starting to warm up as the week goes... should be into the 90s by Friday.

Had lunch with my son and his sister halfway today. He had to pick up DILs new iPhone...Achmed or whomever, after my son telling him which address to ship it to, THREE TIMES, and then verifying again, shipped it to MY house.... They were headed to Montgomery to the NICU and we met in Troy for the handover and a quick lunch. DIL and GDau are doing great. DIL may come home tomorrow and they'll be able to go daily to see Leia... Yep, born May 4...Soooo...

Son has finally relaxed from being scared as hell....

On another note, Waffle House steak and eggs, no bread/etc. was damn good. I'm sure their 'Delmonico' (yeah right) was round steak with almost zero fat.... Protein meal....and of course coffee... My body is sure telling me my diet is not quite what it was but it is easing off... Gonna beat this monkey...

Libby has just bought me the Paul Stanley Face the Music autobiography as a gift. Should be an interesting read, though I'm guessing Ace and Peter won't come out of it too well.
