The most unfriendly looking house I ever saw.

My buddy got hired to work one of those home improvement / remodel TV shows once. He basically did 95% of the demo work off camera and they would bring the stars of the show in periodically to film them taking a swing or two with the sledge hammer, acting like they are working up a big sweat...

Weird but serious question about picking technique

I play the 1.14mm black tortex Jazz IIIs now, but I’ll still use the standard reds if needed. I find Jazz IIIs so critical to my playing that I would go without a pick before playing with something else.

Weird but serious question about picking technique

I started off as self taught and held my pick just like you. I played like for years and it always worked for me, but I did struggle with faster and more precise lead lines. About 15 years ago I took jazz lessons from a local guy and he pushed me to switch to Dunlop Jazz III picks and...

New Gibson Les Paul Traditional with separated neck.

We've seen this story before. Guy with zero posts come on here making a claim that is difficult to believe. Provides little evidence, few details, and poor photos. Some take it at face value and run with it while others question and ask for more detail / evidence. OP gets defensive, lashes...

That's pretty much how I've always pictured the House on Neibolt Street.

1st Mother’s Day without my mom - just hit me today

My condolences to OP and anyone else who has lost their mother or any other significant lady in their life. Mother’s Day is tough. My mom passed away in July of 2019 so this is my second Mother’s Day without her. It’s tough around this time - I’ve been having dreams about her lately. My...

    Slide guitar players...your fave slide?

I use a Dunlop 218 glass slide. It's shorter and only covers about four (maybe five) strings on a standard electric. I play standard tuning slide so it works out well. I find it easier to control than standard sized slides. I tried the medicine bottle style slides that are all the rage due...

New Gibson Les Paul Traditional with separated neck.

So in other words, no, you don't have any other photos or evidence to back up your fairly unbelievable claim that your new Gibson supposedly shipped with a neck that wasn't glued into the pocket. Got it.

New Gibson Les Paul Traditional with separated neck.

Any pictures of the inspection sheet and 'baby photo' from the inspector's bench? There is simply no way this guitar could withstand strings tuned up for the inspection without the neck glued in. There needs to be way more photographic evidence presented before I'm believing this story.

Turn normal hi hat into low boy?

If you plan to use standard 14" hats, you may run into an issue with them hitting / scraping your shin. Looks like those 'low boy' hats are ike 5 or 6" diameter.

    What to do in Nashville

Broadway is a tourist trap of sorts but you will have to experience it for at least a night anyway. My advice is to ask a local where they would go and see live music. They will usually point you to some place outside of the downtown area. You will be treated with some excellent music and not...
