    Gear Demo: GFS Retrotron Pickups

The tone pots are an all or nothing proposition on my G2622. It's something that takes some getting used to coming from a tele world view. That speaks to the pickups not necessarily being the limiting factor, and the level of sweep/control on the pots is really disappointing.

    Gear Demo: GFS Retrotron Pickups

I'm putting these through their paces right now, so far so good. I'm after a wider range of tone with these, they are the GFS Nashville Retrotrons. The old BroadTrons were too muddy and harder to get good cleans (at least to my ears). It's a great guitar but they went a little too cheap on the...

Yikes, this is the cellar for sure. No love for members sharing their tunes. Better players than me not even getting a sniff. Where's the love? LOL

Hi, new guy here. I've done the obligatory introductory thread, and shared a pic of my Les Paul SP I P90 over in the Epiphone forum. Hoping to get to know folks around here a little bit better. Thought it might be a good idea to share one of my tracks with this guitar.

    Show Off Your Les Paul!

@DrBGood , thanks for the hot tip! I haven't done much in the way of twiddling with this rig. Heck, I just got around to some tweaks on my Gretsch, which cost a lot more and I've had a bit longer. Are there any particular threads here on the forum that would be good reading about this guitar?

I think mine is a "More Paul", 'cuz it costs just a little bit more than a haircut: These P90s have some nice tone. A good bargain guit.

    Hello from Lake Balboa CA

DIg it! Yeah, at the end of the day it boils down to having fun. I like slab-sided guitars, and this one is a real slabby. P90s can growl, and that's why I bought this one and didn't break the bank in the process. It came with 9s, which took a bit of time to get used to. Now I appreciate bending...

Nice! EDIT: @cefobe, can you share a link to that backing track? Dig the groove and would like to have a go at it if you don't mind. :)
