Someone reliced a recent Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s

Not great, but also not bad....as long as someone is happy with it, all that matters....

I shot myself in the foot (figuratively speaking)...here's some Standard 50's pics to accompany the events that transpired this evening...

Very nice top for sure! i know what you mean about the guitar remorse. While it has happened many times, one that stands out is selling my first gibby studio ebony, which was only 2 years ago. I sold it with the thought that I know I will get more in the future, which did turn out correct...

yeah, I like the look also...after watching the video about the last gibby black beauty custom to leave the kalamazoo factory in 84, that one also still had the sticker on almost 40 yesrs later.

So today, I was browsing my local buy sell ads in kijiji, I saw this beautiful 2013 LP Standard cherry burst with an above standard flame top. I check the ads regularly to see whats out there, even if I don't have money on that particular day, I still look daily for fun. So the guitar for sale...

Question for New Epiphone Modern owners...

yeah i have a few, was just curious about the modern model because the specs are abit ambiguous...was in the mall today for something and stopped in at one of the guitar shops and seen a very nice PRS flame top cherry bursted at the $1000 cdn price. Since high end epiphones use veneer, I wonder...

Question for New Epiphone Modern owners...

Just curious if the new epi modern's have full maple top with no veneer? Seems odd that the more expensive Slash & Bonamassa signatures only get veneer. Epiphone webiste says for the modern, body - mahogany, top - maple, and finish - AAA flamed maple (figured). Maybe epiphone is trying to be...

1984 Gibson Les Paul Rebel - Tim Shaws?

I think I found the answer to my own question. I seen an 84 invader on reverb and the pickups say sonex 180 deluxe, however I'm unsure how they compare to tim shaws...

1984 Gibson Les Paul Rebel - Tim Shaws?

Here is an 84 Gibson LP Rebel, was wondering if these came with Tim Shaws? The year would say yes, but these don't have any holes or squares in the bobbins, does that matter?

    Abr1's are not the same....

All I know is that it is a great privilege to own these fine specimens.

    Abr1's are not the same....

no wire on either of them, but the difference is more noticeable on the depth of each. They both sound great, just something I noticed. Also the standard has little plastic washers on the screws and the classic doesn't.

    Abr1's are not the same....

So tonight I was closely looking at the Abr bridges of my 2019 Standard 50's and 2020 Classic, was surprised to find out they are not the same. The bridge on the standard appears to be smaller, more narrow. I figured the castings for the ABR1 bridges would be the same, especially since they...

2004 Les Paul Custom - Authentic?

looks like a nice guitar to me...the only thing that would remotely bother me is the toggle switch cover area...I would simply black marker or paint the wood in that area.

What's your Les Paul neck preference?

the same way I like my women...the opposite of big and fat....

I haven't been a big fan of the slash models, but the one you have looks great!, signature or not...
