Help Identify Please! 2000 Les Paul Standard Plus?

Just got confirmation from Gibson that its a fake. I overlooked the font on the serial and the lack of fret nibs. Almost had me fooled! Now that I'm looking closer its so obvious! More pics:

Help Identify Please! 2000 Les Paul Standard Plus?

Its not. Normal serial number. My custom shop standard from 2001 has a CS serial and badge.

Help Identify Please! 2000 Les Paul Standard Plus?

Has anyone ever seen one of these before? The serial indicates that its a 2000 but I can't find another example of this color online. Obviously not the original pickups.

Original Series Junior vs Custom Shop

I've been searching all over trying to find some more information on this from people that have experience with both. Here's the deal: I have a 2002 Gibson USA Junior that I've replaced the pots and cap with CTS & Orange Drop cap wired 50s style. I love the way it sounds, but there are a few...

Help me ID this LP Classic?

Gibson got back to me and verified that its a 2006 Classic in Bullion Gold. They even included a copy of the spec sheet. Although that still doesn't explain the ABR-1 and "Les Paul Model" on the headstock. I can't find any other examples of those details on a 2006 Classic.

Help me ID this LP Classic?

I'm having a rough time getting a year for this LP Classic. It has a 2006 serial number, but also has an ABR-1 bridge, "Les Paul Model" on the headstock and white/cream inlays (although I know this isn't always a guarantee of what era). The pickups have been replaced as well as the pots so...

Please help identify the year on this Les Paul Classic

Pretty sure those are 57 Classics. They look identical to the ones in my '01 Standard.

    Fake Goldtop? Maybe refinished?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I guess its been too long since I've had to examine an LP for authenticity. Also, Mr Pickles.... Gibson didn't start stamping the year under the "MADE IN THE USA" until around 2008, I believe. I know my 2010 Jr has it, but not my 2005 SG or anything earlier.

    Fake Goldtop? Maybe refinished?

Good call on the bridge. I hadn't noticed that. I'll ask for another pic. Also, the truss rod cover does look pretty weird, but it could be the angle of the photo maybe?

    Fake Goldtop? Maybe refinished?

I need your help. I'm looking at a 2000 Les Paul Standard goldtop. However, the color of the top and a few of the physical details (knob placement mainly) are telling me it might be a fake. Anyone want to weigh in?

Fake or not? 1999 gibson lp custom shop

Yea, thats what I noticed, too. Seems a bit high. Mine is a bit lower: Also, the tuners on the right seem to be much closer to the edge of the headstock than the tuners on the left. Any idea where I can get specs on an 87 pre-historic? I don't know much about that era.

Fake or not? 1999 gibson lp custom shop

This is on a nearby CL. I think I smell a fake but I wanted to see what you guys thought. Gibson Les Paul Custom w/ Case The weird looking things to me are mainly the logo/tuner placement and the absence of a "CS" in the serial. Not to mention it looks printed not stamped...:hmm:

    Anyone ever seen this before?

Ok here's another question. I'm finding that the Studio Lite had 496R/500T open coils and black hardware. This one has 490R/498T and gold hardware. Also, is black which I haven't found yet for a studio Lite...lots of this "BLUE" though. The finish is kinda crappy, definitely nitro but maybe...

    Anyone ever seen this before?

Also, I only pointed out the wiring because I've only ever seen Gibson pots used and mounted directly to the body. Been this way in both SGs and both LPs I've had.
