    Need advise. Experience with BMWs

I've always wanted a BMW and I'm looking at a 2013 535i XDrive.Has $90k miles and looks to be in great shape. If I move forward with it I plan to have it checked out by a local BMW tech. Dealer is asking $16,000 for it. My concern is with reliability and repair costs. I understand regular...

    Anyone have a plexi Marshall?

Yes, that’s what I needed. Thanks!

    Anyone have a plexi Marshall?

I’m building a cab for my Marshall clone. I know it has the piping horizontally across the front face panel. My question is it two pieces of wood or a single piece with a routed channel for the piping? Thanks!

    Should I recone this Jensen

    Yes. Very similar

    Should I recone this Jensen

That’s one thing I’ve read is even if not torn, many of these speakers would benefit from a reconing.

    Should I recone this Jensen

I picked up a 1960's Supro Bantam yesterday. Really cool little amp. Light as can be. It has an 8" Jensen Special Edition speaker. Based on the code 2200913, I believe it's 1969. The speaker has several tears in it. Is thing worth reconing? I know some of these 8" aren't that desirable. What do...

Ideal rate of twist (MLP firearms and shooting thread)

Thanks! Yeah that's a significant difference. I know Remington makes these Managed Recoil rounds. I'll have to try them

Ideal rate of twist (MLP firearms and shooting thread)

I took my .30-06 to the range this past weekend. Haven’t shot it in forever. It’s a nice Remington 700 BDL. I’ve always had a little regret with this rifle because it’s got a little more kick than I like. I should have gone with a 270 or even a 223. An employee at the range asked if I’ve...

    Is my PT bad?

I just finished a JCM 800 clone build and I'm using all the iron from an old 1968 Traynor PA head. The PT, OT, and choke all worked prior to being pulled but admittedly it's been a while since I've tested them. Over a year. I think I may be having a PT problem. It's a Hammond PT with the specs...

Help with a JCM 2204 Build and PT Question

Man, kudos to Hammond. I emailed them this morning asking for specs on the PT and they've already responded. Great Customer Service

Help with a JCM 2204 Build and PT Question

Thanks! As I understand it, using a solid state bridge rectifier negates the need for having a CT on the reds. I know there's a way to make an artificial center tap but I believe it's just duplicating the diode process in the bridge rectifier.

Help with a JCM 2204 Build and PT Question

Hi guys, I'm building a clone of a JCM 800 2204. I'm using parts from MetroAmps and Mojotone. For PT, OT, and choke, I'm using what I've salvaged from a 1968 Traynor YVM-1 PA head. This was a 50 watt head with three 12AX7s and two EL34s. So very similar to the JCM. The iron is Hammond so...

    First vintage 12ax7 suggestion

I’ve read Sylvania 6v6 are definitely worth trying.

    First vintage 12ax7 suggestion

I have a set of Rogers 12ax7s from the 60s. They still test as good. Definitely warmer than new ones.
