*** FS: 1982 Leo Reissue Les Paul ***

Terrific finish-out job on this -- it looks killer! Had to read the serial number just to make sure it wasn't a birthdate guitar as I'm inching my way towards forty... And, for what it's worth, the110th day of 1983 was 4/20. So probably some extra mojo going on there, lol

Binding separation problem on Japanese Orville LP Customs

Ah, that's like old Guilds, whereas the stuff Roxy posted is like old Gretsches. IMO, I don't think you have to worry about the from-the-inside-out crumbling, staining of adjacent finish, and oxidization of nearby hardware with binding that's simply shrinking and pulling away in the cutaways...

Looking for personal recommendations on cheap TVs

Yeah, definitely. OTOH, over $3k for refurb when new is $3,300 seems like a terrible deal, so something in between is more like it. But this seller is part of Amazon's "Amazon renewed" network, so they're kind of operating on Amazon's behalf. I figured it's worth trying to buy and then fighting...

Lol, I'm already fighting the seller on it. What looks like is going on is they take in a handful of orders, cancel them as undeliverable address, which prompts Amazon to send an email telling you to reorder. Meanwhile, the seller raises the price about $2200 and hopes you just click through and...

Thanks for that! This is the model I got: https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/samsung-neo-qled-8k/75-qn800a-neo-qled-8k-smart-tv-2021-qn75qn800afxza/?redir=QN75QN800A

Well, I nabbed an "Amazon refurbished" 75" 8k Samsung for $800. We'll see what it's like if it actually ever arrives. But, new it's a $3,300 TV.

I would agree here, but, at the same time, I'd be annoyed if a TV broke in 2-3 years of simple use.

Yeah, everything is smart 4k, even at the cheapest end of the scale. Entirely possible I'll keep this 10+ years, so I might as well anyway. The old 40" Westinghouse is going in the bedroom whenever we get a new one. It's so easy to put TVs anywhere with streaming these days... Which is funny...

Looking for personal recommendations on cheap TVs

I've been to people's houses with oversized TVs before and I definitely don't want that eye fatigue from not being able to take in the whole screen straight ahead. Also can't stand all the high-mounted TVs people seem to love these days, but I'm getting off topic.

The way I have things set up, we're about 15' away from the TV. And I'm definitely more cheapskate than brand snob about this stuff -- the old 40" TV we have is a Westinghouse that was the cheapest in its class probably 12 years ago. Still works great!

New house, bigger den means I'm gonna need to finally upgrade from our old 40" TV to something 75"+. I'm looking in the <$1k range and it looks like there's pretty consistently stuff from funky brands like Onn, Element, Hisense, etc. in the $600-650 range and Samsung, LG, Toshiba around...

What Is The 1959 Les Paul Sound?

I think I said somewhere that a good LP should sound like a piano in the neck, a cello in the middle and a telecaster in the bridge, lol.

Truss rod won't let me lower neck pickup

Clipping/cutting the excess screw length is a solution, as is drilling some relief holes for them in the route, which might be quicker. You could probably get away with adjusting the pole pieces so the bottoms of the screws are level with each other, putting a quick dab of wite-out/nail polish...

    Used car suggestions?

Yeah, lucky to be driving my wife's car while the Camry sits under the carport with a cracked windshield. Safelite was booked three weeks out by midnight the night of the storm. Honestly, this car needs tires and brakes and when the water pump goes, I understand that to be an engine-out job...

    Used car suggestions?

We had a monster, monster hail storm a couple weeks ago. 2"+ hail and 70mph winds.
