1956 les Paul opinions on value of this guitar

Well.. We could deduce the guitar was in Europe from the OP’s post, and we can see the store carries Victoria Amps from the various examples in the background. There’s a limited number of Victoria dealers listed who also sell vintage, so...I emailed them all asking whether they knew the guitar...

    Kalamazoo factory auction

Here’s a NOS, roughed out ‘69 LP Custom ‘kit’ I bought on eBay from a guy who’d sourced it from Gibson decades ago: I gave it a deep dish ‘50s top carve and assembled and finished it with period electrics and other parts Very cool guitar, and highly gratifying project!

When do you STOP? (Conversion question)

When do you STOP? (Conversion question)

In my experience absolutely- high end pots work well, but are characterless for me. All the ‘50s pots I have rate 600k+ and often up to 800k, and when combined are a much different circuit to a modern 500k rig, and give much more clarity and clacky vintage character- fwiw, not a single...

WTB: Vintage ‘52-‘69 Electric guitar projects.

Hi all, I’m on the look out for new summer projects and have ready funds for the right prospect- if you have a broken, poorly refinished, home-brew modified, fire-charred ‘52-‘69 vintage electric guitar in ANY condition, even vaguely identifiable as an SG, Les Paul, Special, 330/335/345/225, Duo...
