    Dickey Betts current SG

No, his son in law... Frank Hannon.. monster player IMO I'm just thinking if his scale length is shorter than a regular SG that is pretty short.

    Dickey Betts current SG

What is the scale on his guitar? His son in law says the SG is his favorite guitar.. I'm going to have to check it out.. love his son in law.

    Line 6 Spider V30 Mark 2

The line 6 30 sounds terrible for rock and metal but pretty good for cleans.

Professional Kemper Profiles (Lots of amps)

My favorite profile so far is a JCA20 the ReampZone has on the rig exchange for free. These guys have some of the best profiles there.

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

Thanks guys. I have discovered with the Kemper that I like the monitors better than the Cabs. I was able to dial in some better tone with the monitors and it surprised me how big they sounded. I'm thinking of getting a bigger 8" monitor or even a 10" FRFR to run mono out of the Monitor output...

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

I RTFM yesterday :) and found that I could put my main outs into my monitors stereo and then put a monitor out in mono and hook up something like a 10" FRFR speaker or even my cab(s). I'll have to give it a try. I found a really good profile that I like but honestly I haven't been blown away...

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

I got a Kemper today and by default it sounds better through the 5" monitors than through the cabs. I can see that it has a lot of potential through the cabs but I will have to learn it better. It has many more configurations than I was expecting. Honestly, I have been disappointed in it as...

    Helix Native??

If you visit that other forum where all they talk about is gear they are all over it in every way imaginable as usual. I don't know much about it but I did read that it did not tax the computer system very much at all. Apparently, it is pretty lightweight (in a good way) compared to other...

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

I think you are right.. I think I already have the best type of setup for me. Sorry for the hijack but the OP asked a very good question that seemed to work well with this question that was on my mind.

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

Great explanation again Rhust.. thanks :) (Swimming in sound is the best I have heard to explain what I hear at home) I do like listening through headphones sometimes when playing my modelers but I prefer to hear it in the room and it sounds like I do have the best experience for my needs...

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

Thanks Rhust.. that was a good explanation. Just as a lot of guys here and at other forums that play the modelers through small speakers don't get what I am talking about when I try to describe the experience with 4x12s in stereo, I don't get how the new modelers with IRs will sound through...

Alto TX10 & Helix for home use?

I play my old school rack modelers through a Rocktron Velocity 300 Stereo power amp into two 4x12s and even at TV levels it sounds huge.. can't describe it if you have never experienced it. I've been thinking about upgrading to one of the top modelers/profilers. If I do upgrade and get a...
