I not the OP of this thread. I'm just posting this because I'm curious if any of you fellas on here have seen this 16 page thread on this R9 Les Paul?
It is supposedly an R9 les paul with serial no. 9 1959. It doesn't have a COA or case, but Gruhn gave an appraisal and deems it an R9. The cavity...
I actually ended up selling that Marshall combo this past Wednesday. To fund the Kemper in the current pic I posted. I also have a Marshall 2525c Silver Jubilee, so that other combo was getting neglected.
I thought about doing that. I'm also considering stripping the rest of the guitar and refinishing it with true old school red dye and lacquer. Even with all that UV exposure, the red on the back and sides didn't even fade.
