I dig the Revival of retro AMERICAN brand names. especially if they are less expensive than the originals.
LP JRs are great of course, and the originals are the ones to have. but they won't fit my budget anymore.
and the newer versions are just "lacking"...

but, Its also my daily job. so it sorta has a reverse effect on me, after a fulls days work fixing others peoples crap, I prefer to buy things that i DON'T have to work on, and the day I DO need to work on it, is the last day it lives at my home...

I tend to buy guitars by how they play and sound first, then how good is the fit and finish second. and the overall cosmetics / design 3rd.
So what I will pay for one varies...
