    LP Options in UK

Can I suggest you check out this gent on Youtube? He has a large collection of Japanese LP's with a few good videos showing them off. He was also the person that introduced me to Zenmarket.jp.

    LP Options in UK

I've bid on a Japanese LP on zen market which if I win (auction) will be a mega deal. I'd love to tell you what it is but it's a secret for now (just in case you jump in on the bidding, lol). It has a day or two to run but fingers crossed I could have a new to me fantastic quality guitar here...

    LP Options in UK

I'm UK based and used to own a Japanese Fernandes Super Grade (with a proper maple flamed top, 2 screw truss rod cover) and it was the best "LP" I've ever owned. Sadly it was taken from me one day when I was burgled. I've had loads of real LP's, standards, a couple of deluxes, a few customs, a...

Nitro cellulose blooming, whiteing, clouding...HELP!!!!! lol

Thank you Oleynior and ARandall for your replies. I was going to buy some anti bloom thinner's but hit the guitar as it were with my DA polisher just to see what would happen. The finish polished up nicely. Ive hit another snag. And that is that I sprayed the rear of my LP with a (Rothko & Frost...

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

Luckily I sprayed the dark mahogany on, it's a coloured nitro. This should sand/acetone/strip off without having to sand into the wood as it would have I used a dye. It's a bit of a pain in the neck to have to redo thing's but at the end of the day it's all about experimenting and learning how...

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

Thank you Judson for the kind comment. Ive actually sprayed the rear of the guitar today (dark rich mahogany) and I hate it. Its back to the drawing board. lol It may take a bit more time.

Nitro cellulose blooming, whiteing, clouding...HELP!!!!! lol

I bought some fresh nitro supplies to finish (and refinish) my LP Studio which has a thread somewhere around here. First off, just to set the scene, Im a semi pro motorcycle painter. I think with bike paint Im pretty good. If I say so myself. Ive done spray painting on and off for years...

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

Im going to order some new fingerboard inlay's too. I dont know how one of the inlays is damaged and missing high up the neck? And I'd like to get rid of the horrible (in my opinion) gold hardware. I'll report back once I have some work done on the guitar. Just dont be sitting there holding your...

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

Im sitting here thinking that if this has taken me a couple of years so far I should be patient enough to wait a couple of month's or so for the nitro cellulose to harden before I think about putting it all back together. It should be playable again by 2020. lol

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

Ive ordered supplies (yesterday) from the UK paint company Rothko and Frost. I'll have to order some chocolate leather dye (Badly Drawn Les used this on his fingerboard on one of his refinishes and it looked great) to do something with the horribly coloured (Im english) (color...) fingerboard...

    Les Paul Studio refinish.

So yesterday a little black paint was added. The only problem is the black I used isnt as black as the untouched part's of the headstock. Ive just had to touch in the top corner which when dried I'll lightly sand back to hopefully blend in before deciding if I should then add some nitro clear or...
