From owning my LP, I will say that the top really responds to the type of and angle of light - I don't know if you've seen this guitar in person, but that would be good to know when the flame appears and/or disappears, if the top is important to you.
Awesome - yeah keeping your eyes open and being ready to strike. I wasn't even seriously looking for one. I just love looking at guitars online. I like to see who has lefties in stock, and what they look like. Back when the 'original' series came out, they didn't even announce they were...
Okay, I laughed. (I'm an SG guy)
My '71 had the control cavity ripped off at some point in its stormy history and was hastily glued back together.
Now that his '61 is all banged up and worth less, he can tour w/ it right? :laugh2:
Awesome! I've never had/played one, but I have always admire the '08+ Standards due to the chambering (7.5lb lesters are nice option) and the jigsaw piece heel is the largest Gibson has ever made I believe. Great features.
Please post this guitar up in our 'Flametop Friday' thread and the 'In Praise of the New Originals' thread - I can tell this guitar has a killer top and we'd love to see more of it!
Sonar, you too! BTW it is almost FRIDAY!!
