Aaaaand sorted! Barry from Ampmaker got in touch to say that this is a different transformer from the one in the instructions and is a dual 120v - basically it needs a wire to connect the two primaries:
Cheers and thanks!
Thanks @Big John , the reason I was looking at the transformer is because there is no power coming from the Watts switch to the turret board .. I've checked across all the lugs on the secondary windings and am coming up with zilch ..
I may well be measuring at the wrong point on the transformer...
I'm hoping someone wouldn't mind helping me out with a quick question!
With lockdown and all, kids at home and not being able to get to the shop to build guitars, I decided to try my hand at building an amp and duly ordered the Double 6 kit from Ampmaker.
It's kind of a holistic...
Have done! I emailed them yesterday, I just thought someone here might know and I'd get a quicker answer than stewmac's 48 hour turnaround :) When I get the answer I'll post it here in case anyone is needing the same info in the future!
I have the soundhole cutter but have lost the screws for mounting it to the dremel router base .. does anyone know what size these screws are? I'm guessing they are imperial as an m4 bolt nearly fits but the thread is wrong ..
Thank you @Angus Blackmore for the tip! I will have to research the blue mod.
Thank you also @Soul Tramp, I will definitely give that a thought; I looked at the Weber but it's not as easy to come by in the UK and has a hefty price tag ..
Hiya, thanks for replying! Yep it's a 5f1 clone, the page is here: WF-55 Kit. This is primarily for home use, I have a Peavey Classic 30 for gigs but I can't even turn it up to 1 in my flat .. :/
I've been looking at speaker reviews all day and I'm more confused than before :) I'd like...
I'm new in this section of the forums, I usually hang out in the "Luthiers Corner" but have been doing a bit of research as I've got the WF-55 kit coming in the next week or so .. I've been itching to build an amp for ages and I saw that Ampmaker just reopened, literally today!!
