What I meant to say was “if you have my generic plans (which I think you do) than you have the specs of this kit.” In other words this kit is made from my generic plans.

How to ship a guitar LEGALLY with CITES permits.

If the guitar is Indian Rosewood, and was purchaed before jan 1st of this year, just use your recipt as proof that it is legal, and you're fine. If its brazilian, it can be more difficult to prove since you'll have to prove it was harvested before 1974.

How to ship a guitar LEGALLY with CITES permits.

most customs officials are not looking to uphold the letter of the law necessarily but rather the intent of the law, so i would wager a guess that you probably wouldn't have trouble, but if ever a customs officer decided to, they could simply hold the item until the correct remits are presented...

I can assure you, you are incorrect on this one. the multi-ply guards made by Gibson through the 60's and maybe even into the 70's were cellulose nitrate. if you've ever worked with it, you'll note an immediate and pungent camphor smell that only cellulose nitrate has. Also, you'll note its very...

    Gibson 1959 Explorer Replica build

The guards on explorers are cellulose nitrate. all Gibson guards that were multi ply were made from cellulose nitrate, and so were the truss rod covers. The side dots on all gibsons (including the white side dots on Jr's and explorers etc.) are also cellulose nitrate. Les paul binding is...

Sold a Guitar Neck But Buyer Wants a Refund Because..

how long was the neck let to sit with no string tension, and without loosening the truss rod? What type of wood is it? what type of truss rod? no, a neck will not develop this problem from being used in a different body. It can develop this if the truss rod is tensioned but it has no string...
