Schweet Custom! Love that checking! Your tone description is very recognizable.
Where did you buy the aged knobs? I'm looking for set of 80s speed knobs but hadn't considered aged new ones.
That knurled ring is most definitely not stock. The acorn nut looks stock.
But if it was indeed used to put more tension on a maxed-out truss rod, I would expect the original washer to have depressed the wood fibers. The original washer seems to be in its normal place.
However I would not buy...
I am restoring/reviving a 1950s Framus jazzbox with a big fat neck. Absolutely dreadful! I have already sanded it from a D into C and will most likely sand it down into a thinner C.
God I love my slim-neck 81 Custom.

Haven't seen of these before. Pretty cool!
No volute... in 1982. That is a year before the volute was removed from Standards and Customs - correct?

Well that settles it for me. That guitar is not a custom order Gibson guitar.
A few last remarks, Gibson started with Lite bodies in the mid-80s to late 80s. Also, the thin cutaway on OP's guitar doesn't match the thick binding used in the Norlin era.
