2009 sg bad neck angle

Okay..

It's still a bit hard to tell, but we can get there with a few questions.

Man, that bridge pup is indeed high.

So, if you were to lower the bridge pup and then lower the strings, would the strings be hitting the 22nd fret or the end of the fret board? Is that the issue here?

That you cannot lower the strings anymore because they hit the fret board at the last fret?

The string height from the side is the one pic that you do not have.

I will say that the bridge is adjusted very high. Lot of thread showing there below the bridge.

If this is a neck reset issue, what's going to have to happen is the neck has to be steamed out, and the angle of the tenon changed by adding some to the tenon bottom, or optionally a shim glued in to the neck pocket.

If I were to remove material on the tenon to change the angle, make it less of an angle, then the tenon would sit lower in the neck pocket, and it's already sitting to the binding, it seems. So yeah, some material will have to be added. And this is a translucent cherry finish, so a bit of wood added to either would show, there would be a small line.

Has it always been like this? that much neck angle?
