I like bar soap......... Am I weird??

I usually just stroll down to the river from my lean-to and rub some water on my skin using my hands. Sometimes I might pick up a rock and use that to get the real stubborn crap off. Seems to work just fine.

As mentioned before..bar soap over time leaves scummy mess in your shower or bath..liquid soap does not..

So, most people that swear by body wash because “bar soap is disgusting” usually use some sort of loofah, mesh “puff” or at least a wash cloth to scrub with. You don’t just pour it in your hand and rub it on or you’d go through a bottle in no time. It just doesn’t suds-up otherwise.

If he thinks there’s mold and fungus on the bar, it’s 10 times worse on whatever he’s using. On top of that, tell him about all of the dead skin he’s scrubbing off that gets trapped in the loofah/mesh/cloth. Now THAT’S nasty!

I have incredibly dry skin, so I don't use bar soap anymore. I miss the simplicity of using it for everything including my hair as mentioned previously. Those days are gone though. As soon as I hit 30 yo my body is in excruciating pain unless I get special soap and lotion myself from head to toe. I should probably see a doctor.

I admit I use girl soap to wash my face. It's gritty like lava soap, I like that it scrubs my face.

That's about as "chick" as I get though.

that sounds like something Bling would do. Like a group of guys just standing around talking then Bling just casually drops a bar of soap in the middle of the group and starts looking around, making uncomfortable eye contact.

Body wash is great.

I agree the bars get nasty, and they leave a soap scum residue on the tub/shower.

I like this stuff. Since I've been working out a lot more, I get acne break outs. This stuff stops that.

I like to buy 20+ bars at a time .

I am a Roofer so I go through a lot of soap .

Irish Spring, Dial, Zest, mostly cheap stuff . Maybe a more expensive bar here and there .

My dermatologist, when I had one, said that the best soap for your skin is Dove bar soap, it’s pricey though.

Pro tip : Open all of your bars so they harden up , they last longer .

I only use bar soap, like a real man. I buy trillions of bars at a time at Costco because bar soap is the only stuff that actually gets you clean, assuming that you've done anything the least bit dirty.
