Just watched this on the News here in Australia.

They are picking up all sorts of Drugs from Painkillers to Meth to Cocaine.

Interesting way to get a "global" picture of Drug abuse across Australia.

But yeah, we're an Ice Country........2nd only to Slovakia (where Countries are doing the same analytical work).

They test this at the treatment plant, not at your kitchen sink

When i was in plumbing school there was a video on treatment plants and it had 50 gallon drums full of pills and vitamins they'd filtered out. I always thought it was weird how much money the vitamin industry must be making when it appears we just pass a lot of them on.

Contaminants that don't break down tell us a lot.Like a paper trail.

A University study up here in Alberta studied chlorinated pool water for artificial sweetner.Seems a particularly popular artificial sweetener(forget which one) does not break down in the body,and is passed out through urine,into the environment.Unlike natural sugar which the body breaks down and stores as fat.

After testing several olympic sized pools,it found a calculated average of 25 gallons of urine in the average pool.You don't say!Confess!

I meant the opposite.

They are not able to do that by measuring at the treatment plant.
In the Netherlands they have been gathering the same info for years now (20 or so years)
