I just got a nice tax refund and.. Knowing myself I can't hang on to $$ long before getting a new guitar item.

What should I buy with my new found wealth?

Investment it in your 401K/IRA. That would benefit you more in the long run than any guitar item ever could.

Hold onto that money! You never know what's around the corner. Although , I need some new strings. If you have to get rid of the money I could send you my address.

It's difficult to answer without knowing what you already have. Um . . . Buy a Les Paul Custom! Blow it all on boutique pedals and a custom pedalboard! Buy nice straps for all your guitars and more stand and wall hangers! Buy some Gaff Tape and Sharpies!

OOh, I know! Buy nut files, fret file, straight edge, fret crowning tool, etc. Neck jig . . . get all that stuff! You know you need it!

Get some good pickups for your guitar. I think you have an Agile, right? Get some OX4 pickups and you will be soooooooo happy.

How big was the refund? You could pick up a used R7 or G0 for 2200-2700.

About $1,900 is what I have. Plus I have a bonus of $2K coming in the next few months. But I won't count that.

My checking account is happy right now, I must do something about this lol

Coldengray, too bad your JTM was gone so quick. I missed it by literally 2 days lol

I really would love a Gibson. The one Gibson Faded SG I had was a huge disappointment, which has put me off Gibson since then. But there's something about the sound of the wood in the Gibsons that my Agile does not have. I think part of it is due to the nitro finish on the Gibson. It breathes. The poly does not.

Become a dealer with MojoTone and pick up a couple TAD tube bulk-packs...and never buy tubes again.

Lots of good deals in the Classifieds right now. I would upgrade to a Gibson Historic. Get a G0 ($2200) or a R7 ($2500).

Or save your money and just get OX4s for your Agile.

Regarding your SG, I got a Custom Shop SG with Maestro from Sweetwater for $2800. They also have 24 month no interest financing right now if you need it.

Thanks guys. Sorry if I offended anyone by starting this thread and blabbing about my good fortune.

The GAS is strong in this one and I wanted some suggestions.
