my chinese dremel finally quit on me.
ten bucks two years ago.
right in the middle of making pickguards.
gotta go buy a new one.
probably can't find one that cheap.

well, that just popped into my mind so I posted it.
I hope it doesn't ruin anyone's day who could have just skipped over it even though it so obviously an unimportant thread.

and yes I'm being a jerk.

But then, it just popped into my head!

In other news:

I'm redoing a dot studio..
so far:
has chrome grovers.. but black hardware..
so I swapped in a chrome bridge, with the old black posts and bushings, which has graphtech saddles.
then I left the black bushings and posts in but swapped the tail to chrome.
Then, I swapped out the black witch hats with chrome centers for chrome dome knobs.
I also, since it's red, and as dark a studio as I've ever seen, made a red tortoise truss rod cover and a switchplate to match, and a jackplate as well.
Gonna do the guard in red. tort as soon as I get the dremel.

The one that popped into my mind.

Got chrome gfs pickups in it, black rings.
So far, I think it looks pretty good. I'll post some pics when I get done
putting in two more pots so it's like a regular dot, and have the guard done.

plays real nice, just bought it used.. and I'm gonna do something to the finish, too, but haven't really made up my mind.

Maybe something will pop in!
Wouldn't that be great.

Your Dot seem very interesting man. I love Dot's, Sheraton's or any hollow/semi hollow body guitars. Yes please with the pics.

A dremel is a rotary tool that you can attach different bits to, to do certain jobs. Drilling, Sanding, buffing, you name it. Very useful tool to own.

I have a black and decker one that in my opinion is better than any dremel I've had. It has a faster motor and torque and it came standard with this attachment that is a flexy pen thing. Really comes in handy for tight areas.

I'm a big nerd, lol. When I was in my teens I had a job, no bills, no woman and plenty of time. I hadn't quite started to spend big bucks on guitars yet, so I had to spend my money somehow. So between props and my '66 mustang thats how I spent my money. And the picture I posted, I built that. Every bit of paint you see I did. I cut some pieces from molds, fabricated a lot of stuff, and put it all together

2011 is gonna be a good year for the stang guys. 6.2 L 400hp at 400+ lbs of torque in the GT :naughty:.......Thats worth waiting for. I'll be about ready for a new one by then. My Mach 1 will be nothing but a memory if I have that baby parked in my driveway. :)

yeah '74 marked the first year of the Mustang II, I think 76 was the first year they brought back a water down 302 to quell the blood cries. I sold my 66 last year though :(

Nothing wrong with a II, just not my cup of tea. Recently I've been wanting one of the Early 70's cougars with one of those 351 Windsors under the hood. Big body, with a lot of torque
