Electrical failure?

How old are these planes?

Some of the aircraft freight companies use are older models. Most are upgraded with the latest avionics, but that does not guarantee safety. That 747 looks like an older 200 series, and the 747s are now at 800 I believe.

I do not buy the electrical theory, judging by the way the plane is stalling before hitting the ground. This looks like a case of a weight shift in the cargo, as I mentioned before.:)

Holy shit. That was a complete stall on take-off. Looks like either the pilot pulled up too steeply before the plane had enough airspeed or maybe the cargo's weight was mis-calculated and it was tail-heavy.

My wife and I really like that show called Air Disasters. It examines and breaks down airplane crashes. In many, the crashes are caused by miscalculations like the one you mentioned.

It did look like a really steep ascent, which would explain a stall, being that there was no air moving over the wings.

Damn, that was horrible to watch. I shouldn't have watched it.
What's up with that dash-cam audio? You hear like papers shuffling, but the person(s?) in the car never reacts or says anything when it's happening or when it hits.

I always hate these stories.

Not this one per se but just the whole death of our children and friends and all going through this mess type of hate.

It's really sad.

It's Afghanistan. Seeing stuff fall out of the sky and burst into flames is about as routine as taking their morning dump.

Yeah, right. That's why they're so pissed at us for not being able to stop the carnage.

Everyday citizens of one country are not really different than those from another. They want to get on with their daily lives, without having them fvcked with.

You don't see that, do you? You put them down as less than modern humans, don't you?

Pffft.

I think you're reading just a teeny bit too much into my comment there, bud. The place is a bloody war zone, plain and simple. **** blows up and falls out of the sky every day. That's all I was saying.

You're assumption that I think of them as sub-humans because they live in a war-ravaged country was reaching, to say the least.

Dismount your donkey.

Then you have my sincere apology.

I'm thinking either cargo-shift, or control failure. It's far too steep a climbout for a 747.

I think the ground was the hard part.
Landing's more dangerous. It's a controlled stall/crash, literally. Lotsa fun in a 90-degree cross wind gusting to three times sustained winds, too. You feel like a crab surfing a tsunami.

Not much positive to take out of this, but that pilot was doing a hell of a job. Did the best he could with what he had to work with. None of us can better that.

Why is there a banner ad for "sexy Arab girls"? That's rather disappointing

Looks very much like a weight and balance issue.
