Nik .... "smashing" performance ... here "today"

"firing" on all cylinders .... :band:

No performance - that's just me being me. Pedantic curmudgeon.

We thought you were just being modest when you said you'd done an image search.
Ah , now I know who did it.. It's Vin ( Who lives in Holland ) ....
Vin is brilliant at that sort of thing and has designed posters for the UK meet in the past.

Dunno about the Clem / It's not unusual Tom Jones thing, but I know he's done other Tom Jones stuff.
If you ask me I'd say it's Clem not trying to hog the limelight.. He's that type of guy..

Clem / modest don't surprise me - he is sweet, isn't he.....

...Nik's done a pro job, but it's in his blood after all...

'ere we go again..... :laugh2:

Phil - these must be some of those tossers you referred to, climbing the ladder of dickheadedness wrong by wrong:-

BBC bosses told Professor Brian Cox he could not attempt to listen to a newly discovered planet on TV show Stargazing Live in case aliens breached the corporation's editorial guidelines, the presenter has claimed. The planet, Threapleton Holmes B, was discovered by amateur stargazers during a project publicised on the BBC2 show.

The physicist claimed the idea of listening to the planet live on air caused consternation at the corporation. "We decided that we'd point the Jodrell Bank telescope at the planet that had been discovered by these two viewers and listen because no one had ever pointed a radio telescope at it and you never know. The BBC actually said, 'But you can't do that because we need to go through the regulations and health and safety and everything in case we discover a signal from an alien civilisation'."

According to Nick it wasn't him.

The name ' Vinisonline' makes sense though..
Vin is a Dutch member who we don't see much of these days.
I'll PM him on the weekend, either here or over in the UK forum.

Those illustrations are what he does for a living, so he's shit hot at it.

As I said on my previous post, Vin did some great posters for our UK meet.
He was also responsible for sending over that engraved trophy we presented to Vasco which he had engraved with ' Dummkopf of the year' 2011'.

I'd think they would have digital porn and not analog radio porn, but yeah, it could be still be satellite distributed.

Or were you kidding? :laugh2:

Why you ornery prick!

You asked, and I answered, and then I politely appealed to all here to try to keep that shit out of the thread, and you go and take it personal.

I've waited, and I've watched, because I like to give people a few chances to make an impression but,

PHIL IS RIGHT! :thumb:

I just wanted to see how many toys were out of prams, and the vitriol...

All you had to do was say: Look in here, might be interesting...

I am a big boy (Phil says I'm an old twat!!!)

But when I did - 105 pages...! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hmm:

Didn't even begin to look. :D :dude:

I
need
someone
who can read
Hanzi/kanji, almost
certainly 篆书 aka zhuànshū (Small Seal Script)
and almost certainly Japanese - it's on a bronze usubata.....

It's the first/top block in this:-
598651_3241497254754_1828016519_n.jpg

I am happy the lower two are 道 aka dào, and 造 aka zào
This is what you would expect. But that top mark has me beaten.
I do have ideas - but am getting conflicting advice from Chinese and Japanese colleagues, and will not prejudice anyone looking at them with all the different ideas going down so far - none of which make a great deal of sense.....

Sorry, I had never thought of directing you out of that thread, I was only using your question as a starting point to plead for an absence of that shit here.

No JV - it says something like:-

wù-shi-wù-lin or wu-too-wu-hayashi
or
da-shi-da-lin or dai-too-dai-hayashi

perhaps

zú-wù-lin or yakara-wu-hayashi
or
zú-da-lin or yakara-dai-hayashi

or maybe

wù-huì-lin or wu-hui-hayashi
or
da-huì-lin or dai-hui-hayashi

And all I am getting is hayashi - a Japanese surname like "Wood" or "Woods".
