That would be my green strat "Maxine". :thumb:

Nah my 2x12 cab would be too hard on me to take to the store with taking two amps as well. They have cabs I can plug into so hopefully it won't impact my sound too much.

Beautiful, what's the lineage of your amp? On another note, Randy emailed me to tell me he was very close to finishing the Daze :D

I played that Snubnose the other day, very cool and unique amp, rich organic voice it projects...

If you don't mind Bill can you go into a little more detail about the voice? Randy has been busy with email. I'm so curious.

I'll spend some more time with it tomorrow. I have had a bunch of amps completed recently and there is only so much time to spend actually playing them, though they get cycled on an off quite bit.
It's interesting, the EF86 compresses fairly quickly, and the tonestack works well. I can get a pretty decent variety of tones out of it, and I just took it up to AC DC range. But like I said I'll spend some time playing it tomorrow.

Well just came back from doing the demo at Long and Macquade. If anyone was waiting for me there at noon I am sorry for being late as I had some family issues that came up that delayed me to 1 o'clock. Anyways, it went really well, a lot of people came around asking about the amps, and how to order one. My buddy at Long and Macquade fell head over heels for the BlackDaisy and said he will be ordering one from Randy very soon. The JTM also got some fanfare as well especially after I showed off the boost feature. There were a few musican that wanted to see the amps, but couldn't make it so I might do another small demo again at the store.

Also found out these amps sound killed through a 2x12 with greenbacks in them. :D

I thought of that ahead. I did a price list of most of Randy's amps with brief descriptions. Of course double checked with him to make sure I was right. Attached suggested youtube search word Phaez. The address to this forum for testimonies and Randy's email address.

Printed them out onto paper and handed them out. Shame Randy didn't have business cards, that would have worked wonders. Though even still I got a phone call from one of the people I talked to wanting to double check Randy's email address so oh well I don't mind spreading the word. :thumb:

Man thats awesome. I was thinking of taking the F14 to a local shop down here to try out some hollow bodies. Wonder if I'll get the same reaction, that place is loaded with matchless, badcat and other boutique amps. I know the guys down there, all good guys.

Darn! I wish I was in town for the demo.
On the bright side, I saw Y&T in Seattle. They were terrific; played for nearly 2 hours. Here's a clip of last year's Seattle show (thought the first couple of minutes were fitting for a mlp thread):

Man, an old friend back-in-the-day was the biggest Y&T fan, I don't know how many times we saw them around the Bay Area but it was easily into the dozens. Great stuff! :applause:

Couple sourcing issues for the Phaezes. I could probably find something online, but I'd also probably get the wrong thing...

The Corona needs a metal bottom plate. Probably could have gotten one from Randy. Didn't. Should be pretty standard, but my googling has born no fruit.

The DC needs a new pilot bulb. I've found them, but don't know the right size. Don't know if Randy's used different sizes over the years, so I might just have to do some guessing.

As an aside, I think it's awesome that the pilot's burned out. Means this little guy was used pretty regularly over the years.

All chassis are meant to be put in a cab ...there are no bottom standard plates. If you want to use it as a chassis only most people attach a piece of plywood or plexiglass cover to the chassis for safety.... can;t help you with the bulb size ......JIM

I just put some rubber feet on the bottom. Like the ones that go on the bottom of a head cab. They screw right into the holes on the bottom of the chassis.

Huh. I've got it in a cab (of sorts). I was told that I should have a sheet of metal on the bottom, to box in the innards. I dunno. I just do as I'm told.

On another note, bought me a set of 50's RCAs for the Corona. Bay buy, so who knows, but the price seemed a good gamble. Should have preamp glass soon too. Inching towards a new speaker. Just can't decide between a 12" or a 10".

Is it not just a 5MM LED? Should be able to grab one anywhere
