had Randy lived..he would have left Ozzy as he was planning...and then in turn he would have faded into the 80's hair band scene. Should he get an LP..yes..as its a recognizable guitar...but he doesnt deserve one over Slash.
On a different note, today's music is crap.
This, from a guy calling himself "GreenDay"

Randy would have faded? How many people were playing like Randy in the late 70's and early 80's. He wasn't creative? He had his own style! You need to go back and listen to the Suicide Solution solo off the Tribute album!!!

Couldn't agree more. I think the guitar itself is great, but having MF's name attached to it (no offence to him, I'm sure he is a very nice man) just ruins it.

I nominate Springsteen. If Slash can get one for not playing a Gibson on Appetite for Destruction, then the Boss should have one for not playing Les Pauls at all.
I'm "implying" that it's bogus to offer an AFD Slash model when the guitar he used wasn't a Gibson. It's as if you're implying selling VOS versions of a Maxx '59 replica is wrong.

I think Them Crooked Vultures, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and The Kills and a whole heap of others are pretty damn good bands.
None of 'em play LPs exclusively, but all of 'em make pretty kick ass music. Maybe I have crappy taste.![]()
