I think it's VERY unlikely you'll get $3K for a year old LP Standard in this market. Having a look at completed auctions on ebay I suspect you'll be lucky to get $2400. People just aren't buying at the moment. Go up a few posts and have a look at what Pinkbits had to ask for his Goldtop!!

If it's US to Australia the cheapest quote that I've had would be around US$140, and I've had quotes as high as US$450. On top of that you have to pay import duty of 10% of cost + postage on items worth more than AUS$1000.

So it gets expensive. It's only worth it if you're getting something that is A LOT cheaper than you can get it here.

still trying to sell my Gibson firebird studio. asking price now is $1000. Comes with 2 pick guards black and the original white one, and hardcase. only a scratch on the back near strap button and a couple of pin size dents on the front (cant see them unless you look closely). Forgot to mention, the guitar has some natural aging around the D and A string posts on the head stock. It is not damage and has just happened over time. The nitro has turned a goldie/greenie colour. I will try to get a photo up. It adds alot to this guitars mojo and magic.
