I like the Fat Sandwich, but that wasn't even close for Cheap Sunglasses.
I agree. I think cheap sunglasses is more fuzzy, but I actually like it, even if its not the same..
Well if he is "q"ing everything the same it wont matter anyway
i think the only thing i don't totally believe about the video is the "all treble off" part.
I dont know playing 7's it would have to be pretty jangly
Does anyone have any new / current suggestions on a ZZ in a box pedal? I'm thinking; just got paid, waiting for the bus, nasty dogs and funky kings, cheap sunglasses, I'm bad, I'm Nationwide, Thank you; type tones. I'm playing a CR9 through a Vox AC4.
Which brings me to the point,..tone is in fingers more so than a gibson/LP kinda thing.
I just bought a new Eric Clapton vibro champ and the tone is there.
How about the Skreddy ScrewDriver?

Those are nice, but that's about a $1,000 box (amp)......I was thinking a smaller $200 box (pedal). I do like the low watt tube amps though, I have a Vox AC4 (4 watts) and I like it a lot.
I had never heard of the Skreddy but I just checked it out on the you tube. Seem's like a decent pedal.
My wife bought me a Metal Pedals Raw Hide overdrive this past fall at the Philly guitar show and you can definitely get some righteous ZZ Top inspired sounds out of it. I love it and it's one of the coolest dirt pedals that I own.
goran fat boy drive
I checked out some YouTube videos and the Goran sounds really cool, but how the heck do you find out what it costs? Can't find it in Google shopping, there's no price on the Goran web site and the "Order" link on their site just gives a sort of "Contact Us" form.
i bought it from his dealer in germany. he actually has an ebay account as well. i bought it from ebay. it´s the one is listed on the goran homepage.
US $360. It sounds really good, but it's a little pricey for me.

yes that´s one of his dealers. also session.de. it´s pricey and i was thinking for months to buy it or not. and i never regret. it´s the best overdrive/distortion i ever had.
This is the closest I have come -- Goodsell OD II into a Bassman-style head. Listen to the third track (Just Got Paid lick).
Sounds pretty good. I like the Sometimes Salvation jam. Is this you playing on this demo?
Yep, that's all me, for good or ill. Thanks.
