Some of those tones sound awesome; I don't like spluttery sounding fuzz but when he rolled back the wool and pinch controls it sounded awesome!

Are you building this PTP or on a board?

I used to own one. I cloned it and have made several incarnations of it.

There are many different layouts for it on www.freestompboxes.org/

i want to try various germanium transistors in the fuzz factory, along with some different silicones.

im going to sockiet some of the values as well as the transistors, its always fun to swap out transistors... i have a bag of NOS U.S.S.R. germaniums that i want try in this circuit =)

I made a NPN Germanium Mammoth, sounded pretty good. Didn't keep it...I prefer the Silicon. Either BC109C, 2N5089 or 2N3904.

ill prob go silicon with the mammoth as i will be using it for bass and i want to keep the fuzz tight.

the factory on the other hand, i want to try a number of germaniums in there, various hFE's as well.
