I've got a friend who called and asked a question that I wasn't able to answer. I promised I'd put the question to the forum to get your opinions.

He normally sprays a light coat of nitro before grain filling. His reason(s) for using nitro is that he wants to keep the wood from changing hue when applying grain fill and he uses the nitro as a sealer.

I've turned him on to Zpoxy and he likes what he's seen, but he wants to know if Zpoxy will adhere properly and remain stable over his initial light coat of nitro.

    Anyone know the answer?

Additional info... from what I gather, he intends to shoot his final coats of nitro over the Zpoxy. Also, I let him know that Zpoxy has an amber hue to it.

You can put it on over a seal coat if you must, but it's not necessary.
