Are we done in this thread? Is there anything more to be gained by keeping it open?

I'm thinking we might be done....

    Well since you asked.

When I first heard about this case a year or so ago, just going by what was reported and seeing the pic of TM when he was 12 everywhere I immediately thought GZ was a murdering asshole when needed to spend the rest of his life in jail. I mean, why would you shoot someone little kid walking home with a bag of skittles.

Fast forward to two weeks ago and after hearing witness testimonies, the expert witnesses the prosecution put on and listening to 911 calls and reading other transcripts I think that GZ should never have gotten out of his car. But I don't believe that he did anything illegal, therefore I agree with the jury.

In the end, like many people have said, we don't really know what happened. I can understand why GZ called the police because he thought he saw someone suspicious, according to him TM wasn't walking down the street or sidewalk but cutting behind the backs of houses. Does that mean TM is a criminal, no, but I can see how that might looks suspicious to someone in a neighborhood that had recent breakins.

He was on the phone with 911, who asked him if he was following TM. When GZ said "Yeah", the operator told him he "didn't have to do that." GZ said "OK".

Now, was he headed back to his truck after that and TM confronted him? Did he ignore 911 and confront TM? I don't know, and well never know for sure. But we do know that forensic evidence shows and eye witnesses saw TM on top of GZ.

Should he have just let TM hit him until he got tired? Or knocked him unconscious? I wouldn't but I probably wouldn't have gotten out of my truck either. On the other hand, if I were TM I know damn well that I would have run my ass off while calling 911 on my cell phone if someone was following me. I know because I've done it, not the 911 part because I didn't have a cell phone but the running part. Unless there was no other choice I wasn't gonna try to fight an unknown person, but who knows. Maybe TM couldn't run away, who really knows. I do know that the prosecution didn't have any evidence showing that GZ did anything illegal.

Again, I don't think he should have gotten out of his truck, but it's a hell of a lot easier playing QB on Monday morning than Sunday afternoon.

"As the night wore on, violence grew. About 11 p.m., a masked protester hit a waiter at Flora Restaurant and Bar on Telegraph Avenue in the face with a hammer as he tried to protect the restaurant, whose windows were broken two nights ago."

    Another peaceful protest?

It's hard for me to imagine that someone could be so dense...but I shouldn't be surprised, I've been reading your posts for a couple of years now.:thumb: From YOUR link.:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:
No malicious intent was proven, no repeated actions against TM, no threat by Zimmerman was proven, no laws of any kind were broken by Zimmerman. It's weird how you're able to come up with scenarios that weren't shown in court, or proven in court, or shown to be true based on any evidence. Zimmerman was NOT charged with stalking, not because of a vast right wing cover up, but because NO stalking took place according to the law.

Another swing and another miss by lunchbox.

Leave the thread open LZF, eventually we'll all be brain dead enough to believe that Zimmerman should have been found guilty.

I was gonna say leave it open, but then I saw this.

That's a perfect closing line for this thread if I ever saw one.
