ive got some friends in malmö there is a lot of gangs and s.h.i.t there
well how is it going?
I've never tried WB's stuff but from what I've heard on the forums is they are excellent. I had a set of Bareknuckle mules in my other SG for a time and they smoked. Best pups I ever had.
It's a poly finished Gibson?
i was waiting to get to the end of this thread to ask the same question...
come on!! i've waited forever now!
He must have ruined it and dont want to let us know
I'm sure that if you complain enough he will comeback and give you all the information you want.
Where have you been?
There’s a thought from a new guy. Why was this guitar purchased? There could be many reasons one would get one of these, obviously because they are into Zakk or for the features. I like the guitars features myself, what other LP has a maple neck and fingerboard with the custom’s options? I don’t know of one. I am not a Gibson expert, just got my first one last month.
The only thing I don’t like Zakk camo is the camo, so I say “good for you, go for it”. With that said I’ll advise you to proceed with extreme caution. As stated prior I recommend “no paint striper” elbow grease and sand paper with soft blocks on the top. I have seen in the past people try to strip a LP with a hard sanding block and reduce the carve of the top especially on the edges trying to get the paint out of the (for a lack of better terms) valley”, not good. Using sand paper will also allow you to refinish without applying any grain filler if you don’t go too far. I’m curious to see the top sanded down. Are you planning on staining or using dye and are you going to leave the neck black? Keep posting pictures.
Side Note: I always hear people talk about a guitars value. In fact there are many instruments at have a substantial monetary value, not arguing that. I’m just saying you could purchase an instrument that cost a million dollars but if don’t like how it plays or looks, how much is it really worth to YOU. To truly appreciate something you have to be completely satisfied with it, just my thoughts. Ok I’ll shut up now.
A little bit of progress...
Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the side done.
I like that top. A lot going on there.
Very nice top there
That top is amazing! What a shame it was covered with that crap!
