The Collector's Choice series have awed us since its inception. Each model is a stunning recreation of the original, made painstakingly a par above the rest. Everyone's talking about it, and everybody dream of having one (or more), some have owned one (or more). We have our own personal favorites, and here are my top 3 (for now):

    1. 'Goldie' aged ('coz its the only one i have, hehe)
    2. the Beast (in case there's extra buck in the future... which i doubt)
    3. Peter Green/Gary Moore/Melvin Franks '59

    cheers:slash:

    In order (my preference)

All are excellent in their own regard, but I have to admit CC8 is the only other guitar I've ran across that rivals Goldie's bite and growl. I love those two. Goldie is my main player, the Beast will be #2 player.

I've played all but CC1 and 10, and owned CC4, which is good but never really truly spoke to me but I would put it a very close 4th.

    In no particular order.

    1) The Beast
    2) Shanks
    3) Sandy

I had a VOS Franks briefly. That didn't do it for me.

Dead Easy this one - I own at least one of every CC model (albiet I have sold most of the VOS or Gloss ones as they didn't do anything for me) - and while there isn't a bad one in the run these three are the best - in order:

    CC#1 Moore Aged
    CC#2 Goldie Aged
    CC#8 Beast Aged

To anyone that's played all of them, which one has the thickest neck? I had always hoped the Peter Green one had a baseball bat....

Goldie's neck is big but the CC6 I tried felt large to me as well. I admit I didn't spent heaps of time with it though. The CC3 I played didn't feel that large but it just goes to prove that it's all relative. Even though they scan and match the original neck, it still has to be sanded down a tad prior to finishing. Plus on Goldie it also had Murphy going over it so there may be some variance in Goldie's neck due to that factor. I've played 3 Goldies and they all felt relatively the same to me in the neck. (all aged btw) never played a Gloss Goldie though and I'd bet that one probably would have the largest neck since it's un aged.

I have a Gloss Goldie (too late the party and couldn't find an aged). My goldie does not have the girth my CC3 does. When I purchased my CC3 I had 6 to choose from and played them all. All were fat freddies to me. THe only Goldie I have played is the one I have and its just the perfect neck for me. Its my #1 player right now and has been since I bought it.

I thought the #6 neck was just right also... similar to Goldie.

Sounds like this is subjective to the players hand.
