Here's a link for my top 10 list of guitarists most people have never heard of.

    The Top 10

#1 on the list: Paul Kossoff

As sad as it is, most people have no idea who he is, although one of his songs is the number one most played song on rock radio.

Asides from top 2, in loose order-

    David Gilmour
    Jimmy Page
    Joe Walsh
    Buck Dharma
    John Petrucci
    Eddie Van Halen
    Gary Moore
    Joe Satriani
    Steve Vai
    Jeff Beck

I think George Harrison gets an honorable mention, as do Keith Richards, Robbie Krieger, Johnny Greenwood, Nick McCabe, Brian May, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Oh and James Hetfield for that lovely thrash rhythm guitar that I love (though John Petrucci pips him there).

Joe Bonamassa is definitely rising to the ranks.

It's so hard to narrow down!!
