I read my list somewhere, too - the Spec pages on Fender's webpage
The Lace sensors seemed to be all the rage - 80's/early 90's was it?
Then they went completely out of favour (favour).
What was that all about?
I liked them in a friend's strat plus and wish I'd bought a 2nd hand surf green Jeff Beck model that was for sale in a local shop. 600 GBP seemed expensive at the time.
I like strats and own a couple, but can never seem to get them to do what I want. Tele, jazzer no problem. Maybe more practice......h,,mmm.
Wow, that's a beauty.
Wired up..did frets..then dressed..still a little more work on this neck..
Need to drill it..mount it..
Thanks, Bill. It plays fantastic as well. Really happy with this one..
I've had a few Strats, but this Road Worn Player model is the best! Sanded neck and tex Mex pickups - and now my favourite for gigging.
I own Strats. Made wherever. USA. Japan. Mexico. A few years ago, I bought a really cool '02 MIM. A fat Strat with a maple neck. It was what I like. I was stoked until I felt the neck. The fret ends where like razor blades. Really bad. I know how to fix that now. I just need to find it. MIM Strats are really nice guitars. I find mine in the $200 range.
Been playing it a bit..getting the new neck setup.. I need to profile the frets to better curve with the neck.. Action is nice..ordering some new nut material..
But..after 35 years in a box..
IT IS ALIVE..
I believe everyone should have a Fender Stratocaster. They truly are great playing guitars. The American Standards and American Specials are great value for the money. Here are my two Strats.
I'm in the market for one of those right now and yes, they do have those pickups in them.
I dig Strats, but dig Tele's more. I tend to like 2 (or less) pickup guitars and I have a fondness for singlecut guitars.
That said I have 5 Strats so I must like them somewhat. I use them for that in between 2 and 4 sound and that's about it.
