A Strat with a swimming pool rout, or at least a HSH rout, because of their modularity it's simply a matter of swapping a loaded pickguard to have any pickup arrangement you choose, I also prefer Strat necks (9.5" the best) over others and the body is pretty comfortable too.

I'd love to have a Dick Dale Stratocaster or a Fender Jazzmaster like the flaming lips' Drozd plays. Blocks, burst, binding, bucker in the bridge. awesome guitars.

Out of the product range? Probably a 1956 reissue strat with a nice narrow but beefy neck.

Out of my mind: a strat-body with a maple neck and an old style telly bridge, strat neck pickup and a three-way toggle switch! White blond finish finish (relic) ans distressed gold hardware.:thumb:

Nice wood... A Fender with a flamed maple top appears to me like a farmgirl that went to Gucci the other day!:D

An MIM strat works for me.

08 American Standard with Warmoth mahogany/ebony neck.

Being a confirmed Tele guy I never thought that I'd ever call a Strat ideal but with the humbuckers this one is growing on me fast.

2012 American Standard body and hardware. 83 Fullerton neck. EMG loaded guard.

The Tele with the strat neck is pretty damn cool.

I may have to make one of those

My first guitar love is the Tele, so I kinda feel like I'm cheating. I recently got a Classic Player Jazzmaster and it's just about perfect. So easy to play and an incredible array of tones available. I even like the rhythm circuit.:thumb:

I would say my modded Highway One is ideal for me.
