This American Strat I just rebuilt. I'd love a nice Botterscotch or Black Tele though!
My ideal Fender is a Tele Deluxe. Same layout as my Les Pauls, but the brighter sound gives me a different color to paint with. I'm currently running ceramic pups in it, since we're playing heavier stuff, but I'm considering reloading the stock RI WR pups in it.
Seriously been considering picking up the Squier version in white, and loading EMGs in it, ala Jim Root. Or the CV 50s Tele and putting a hot rails in the bridge.
My ideal Fender... I'll let you know after Christmas day
I may not be the norm but I don't even think about this stuff.
I'm old school and back when I was a struggling musician I was happy to have all six stings and an amp that didn't blow.
I always come back to this one.57 AVRI...it's all about the neck!
If a genie asked me which Fender I wanted, I think I'd have to go with a late 50's white/ blonde Esquire.
awesome pics guys... yeah I agree with one poster about necks.. its gotta feel good for you to get into it and play more and play in comfort
Just give me a 60's Style SSS with a massive C neck, 9.5 radius and 6105 frets. My custom shop 60's is my #1.
I like strats for blues playing but they are not very versatile to me when I need to be heavy with my band... plus I hate the strat shape lol but nevertheless nice guit!! i'm sure it gets alotta hours playtime lol
I mostly play blues and classic rock. The strat gets me through most of it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LP's. My R8 gets just as much play time as my strat but if I couldn't only own 1 guitar it would be a strat. Not totally sure why. They just feel right in my hands and I naturally gravitate to them.
I've got crazy GAS for this gem
it's weird cause i'm the other way I like humbuckers or p-90s in the bridge on a tele and a single coil in the neck lol.. looks nice regardless and a seymour duncan in the neck is a bonus
I just like it because it is a 52 reissue in something other than that done to death blackguard blonde
oh man rosewood teles are nice... a rose wood tele with a single coil neck and a coil tappable bridge humbucker would be amazing
I have a rosewood Jay turser rosewood tele that was modified with a jazzmaster neck pickup and a tone shift switch
i think i have my ideal fender at the moment; i have been playing my modded JD telecaster like crazy this past year. this baby is my blues machine,i put some 56-12 strings on it and i can just wail on it without a pick and she stays in tune just fine. i was a little skeptical about the DiMarzios at first, but they've really grown on me. clean, they can really nail that distinctive classic tele tone, but if i want to play some thick fuzz, they still hold up.
I like the Tele, but what is the guitar on the left? Reminds me of something I've seen before but I can't remember what.
it is a Harmony H47 stratotone modded with p-90's. my Dan Auerbach black keys clone.
I love Dan Auerbach.
Either my 52 Telecaster Clone I built or my SRV Strats, one I built the other I purchased in 1992.
